Description

There's this contest for drawing Marowak if it was a different type, so I made two. Dragon and Poison type, respectively. This was pretty fun. They ended up turing out kind of Sugamori-esque, which is cool, but I was really just testing out the watercolor tool in Artrage.

Dratacomb (name from 'Dragon' and 'Catacomb') is a generally passive Pokemon, in spite of its fearsome appearance. They nest in the gravesites of their ancestors and can become very territorial when it comes to these graves. Its massive tail has extraordinary power and can be used to smash obstacles or move them out of the way. Dratacomb is a meticulous Pokemon who can often be found rearranging the order of its nesting site, and by doing so have been observed to be clumsy about accidentally giving nestmates a knocking-around. Although rarely seen by humans, Dratacomb is a highly social Pokemon and lives in close-knit family units.

Toxbones (name from 'Toxin' and 'Crossbones') is a brutal hunter who uses venom in tandem with its two bone clubs to take down prey and fend off enemies. It is nocturnal and moves on its belly most of the time, so that its dark coloring makes it blend into its surroundings. During a confrontation or upon feeling threatened, Toxbones will rise up to show the yellow stripe on its belly. The alarming color is used as a warning to intimidate enemies. The twin bones that Toxbones carries with it are not only for attacking, but for defending. This Pokemon will often cross the bones in an 'x' shape to shield its body from attackers.

Edit: ...I, uh, made another one. :D This time a Ghost-type.

Obolpomp (name from the 'Obol' coin and 'Psychopomp') is an ominous Pokemon that lurks around graveyards and battlefields. It carries a lantern with it that can hold a soul inside of it. Obolpomp takes the souls of the recently deceased or the lost and gives them safe passage into the underworld. Its power seems to stem from the coin lodged in its skull. When the coin is removed, the body of Obolpomp vanishes, leaving only its inanimate skull and bone staff. On foggy, overcast mornings, this Pokemon can sometimes be seen walking across the surfaces of rivers.
